Cody Williams had been designing websites since 1998, as a 10 year old he started out building sites on Homestead and Geocities. Through extensive use of WYSIWYG editors, he learned HTML and the benefits of coding by hand instead of using editors that bloat the code. Cody has received no formal training in HTML, XHTML, PHP, or CSS. Everything he knows he learned through experience and experimentation. He is a proponent of separating style from markup and does his best to use strict XHTML and CSS keeping all style in the stylesheet. He uses HTML-Kit to design, and CoreFTP for uploading the work. He currently hosts and designs for two sites,Hogwarts of Witchcraft and Wizardry and The Elmwood, under the company, Pyralis Network.
Cody is also on the Executive Committee for the 2009 University Co-Op Presents the Cohen New Works Festival as the web designer and developer. After redesigning the website to make use of XHTML, CSS, and PHP, he has worked to make the New Works Festival website more useful to the audience and participants of the New Works Festival.
The name Pyralis Network came from the RPG character Cody has had since 2000, Athan Pyralis. His involvement with Hogwarts of Witchcraft and Wizardry rekindled his interest in Web Design, and then later with the creation The Elmwood, the Pyralis Network was created.
Currently, Cody attends the University of Texas at Austin, where he is pursuing a B.A. in Theatre and Dance with a concentration in Technical Theatre and Stage Management.
